St.Petersburg based Stanislav Sevostyanikhin better known as Dissident started to produce electronic
music in early 1996. He was techno influented, producing slightly to Noise and Intelligent Drum&Bass. Dissident created his first drumnbass project called T.Step Collective (featuring Aspekt, Nec and MC Akim) in 1997 lately renamed to Dissonance. They had enough success in Russia, many releases and performances not only on St.Petersburg arenas.

Having huge experience behind his back, he cancelled this project and started to produce solo in 2001. Dissident collaborated with different artists (Sta & Paul B, Ruffen, Bes, Uzhas and many others) making different styles. The sound that he had done was ready to take on the world scene and his first release (Technecium made with Paul B) abroad was on the famous British label Renegade Hardware in 2002. Then Dissident was signed up to the new American perspective Fear Red with his innovative tune Fuji.

His sound’s always surprising, spanking fresh and catchy. And now Dissident appears on T. A. M., Step2Zero
Recordings, Mangofunk, Ballistics and Theoretic as the most powerful russian producer, having lots of
top quality tunes produced for the labels.
